Goodness, what a whirlwind of a year this has been! It's hard to believe that there are only 12 days left in this year, before we dive into 2017. We are beyond grateful for the many opportunities, creative challenges, relationships, professional partnerships, and clients this past year has brought us. Thank you, to each and every one of you, for helping to make this year so special for all of us here at RRC. 

We've got some big plans ahead for the new year... including a bit of an overhaul an facelift for this website (especially the online shop, which is WAAAAYYYYY overdue for an update!), new workshops, and much more. We hope you'll continue to follow along as we build this beautiful little brand, one creative idea at a time.

So much to celebrate! Introducing our new storefront in Historic Reynolda Village!

Over the summer, we moved our creative studio to the most charming new digs: historic Reynolda Village in Winston-Salem, NC! Smack dab in the middle of a busy wedding season for our team, this move was a true labor of love. After months of renovation and prep work, all completed in between weddings and deadlines, we couldn't help but throw a party to celebrate our grand opening last month! Special thanks to Lauren Jolly for these beautiful photos! 

Given that we are a stationery design company, we just couldn't even stomach the thought of throwing a party without a fabulous invitation. These beauties combined watercolor artwork (our designer, Kasey, is so talented, isn't she?!?) that was printed using a flat/digital print method. The text was then letterpressed onto the card and it was duplexed to another card with the watercolor pattern to create the back side. We just love how they turned out and look forward to more projects combining digital and letterpress printing in the future! 

When the party day rolled around, we almost couldn't even believe our good luck... the weather was *perfect*. It was a lovely fall day and the conditions were ideal for our little shindig to spill out into the courtyard outside our front door. Just like we planned! 

Lauren snapped a few fun images of the inside of our shop as well, including the floral workshop and retail area. 

Because nobody's schedules all aligned, we weren't able to get a big group shot of the entire team, but I love this one of the three of us. For those of you who don't know me... that's me (Becca!) in the middle, and Betsy, my business partner and RRC co-owner is pictured to the left. Our new studio manager, Brittany, is pictured on the right! 

So much more to share with you soon. In the meantime, come pay us a visit! Our retail hours begin this week and you can shop our stationery and gifts Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We've been bursting at the seams to share some exciting news with you for months and today is finally the day! We are moving into a new design studio and it's pretty amazing. What's more.... we're growing our team!   We are looking for a Studio Manager to join us in our new location here in Winston-Salem. This is an administrative position that will be a key support role to our growing team and will serve both the Rebecca Rose Events and the Rebecca Rose Creative brands. If you are interested or know someone who may be the perfect fit, we'd love to hear from you.  Here is the scoop...

We’re seeking enthusiastic candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize projects as needed in order to meet deadlines

  • Patient and able to be sensitive to unique requests, knowing that many of our client's projects (such as weddings!) are emotionally important to them and will require exceptional attention to detail

  • Organized with proven track record for excellent record and bookkeeping

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint – proficiency in using Mac/Apple products preferred

  • Reliable transportation and able to work in our Winston-Salem design studio on a daily basis, Tuesday-Saturday (our studio is closed on Sundays & Mondays)

  • College degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of previous office management experience preferred

  • Available to start September 2016

Please note: while Rebecca Rose Events, LLC and Rebecca Rose Creative are event planning and design brands, this is an administrative position and is not an event planning or design position. This position will support our creative and logistics teams and provide friendly, professional customer service to our clients, industry partners, and prospective customers.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls/emails

  • Schedule appointments

  • Prepare template contracts, proposals and relevant paperwork for our clients

  • Answer emails and communicate with clients as needed

  • Oversee incoming/outgoing shipments

  • Manage inventory of studio materials and supplies

  • Assist walk-in customers during retail hours

  • Open/close the shop

  • Prepare the studio for client meetings and creative sessions

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors

  • Assist the creative team with project assembly and mailings

We often lovingly refer to Rebecca Rose Events as our big sister company, because, well... RRE is five years older than RRC! But today we're bragging a little because RRE followed in our footsteps! Last January, when we launched this website, we hired Josh and his incredible team at Fix8Media to help us pull it all together. Working with them was such a wonderful experience that when it came time for RRE to get a shiny new website this year...it was an easy decision to hire the Fix8 team again.

CALLING ALL GRAPHIC DESIGNERS | WE'RE HIRING!

Hi friends! We're so pleased to announce that we're ready to grow our graphic design team so that we can serve more clients seeking custom stationery and paper goods. We're diving into this search with open hearts and a healthy does of flexibility, because we're not sure if we will ultimately find one - or two! - of you that might be a perfect fit for our team! 

This position will either be part-time or a freelance contract position, though there is certainly potential to grow into more over the long-term. Here's the nitty-gritty in terms of defining the perfect addition to our team... If these descriptions sound like you, please apply as quickly as possible! 

  • You've either worked on wedding stationery before, or have some knowledge of the industry, or at least a willingness to learn about it very quickly! 
  • You're excited to tackle new projects and think outside the proverbial box whenever needed! 
  • You work well under the pressure of deadlines and would excel in an environment when you know that our team, our clients and our print production partners are depending on timely turnarounds. 
  • You have a heart for weddings and social events because you value the importance of celebration. 
  • You take direction well and understand that while we encourage (and want!!!) creativity, many of our projects will require your artwork to be consistent with broader overall event design goals and that means a very specific attention to detail and emphasis on cohesive elements. On our team, we all work together to bring visions to life! 
  • You are patient and will be sensitive to unique requests, knowing that many of our client's projects are emotionally important to them (wedding stationery is very different from corporate brochures!) and will require exceptional attention to detail. 
  • You do not need to be based in North Carolina, but you do need to be accessible during EST business hours so that we can communicate about projects via email/phone as needed.

DESIGN-IN-A-DAY CREATIVE SESSIONS | JANUARY 2016 SPECIAL FOR DIY BRIDES & GROOMS!

This is a one-time opportunity and the offer is only valid for the first three couples to book a session. Sessions must be booked by January 29, 2016 (though actual sessions dates may be scheduled for a later time/date). So here's the scoop: the price is normally $1,500. For these three special couples, the reduced price is $975. An incredible value! Sessions must be held in Winston-Salem, North Carolina - or travel fees will apply.

Charleston Wedding Inspiration at Middleton Place - Featured on Magnolia Rouge

Earlier this year, when we took the Rebecca Rose Events team to Charleston to produce a wedding, we snuck in some creative time with Lucy Cuneo Photography as well to style this shoot. What a joy to see it featured on the Magnolia Rouge blog last month. 

The inspiration for this shoot was simple. This beautiful Celestine gown by bridal designer Carol Hannah has such an elegance to it. The fabric falls softly with a stillness that we also see in the undisturbed water and dripping Spanish moss... until a breeze or movement comes along and it springs to life. Enjoy!
