Happy Holidays!

Floral Design, Creative Direction, In the Studio, Reynolda VillageBecca AtchisonComment

Goodness, what a whirlwind of a year this has been! It's hard to believe that there are only 12 days left in this year, before we dive into 2017. We are beyond grateful for the many opportunities, creative challenges, relationships, professional partnerships, and clients this past year has brought us. Thank you, to each and every one of you, for helping to make this year so special for all of us here at RRC.

We've got some big plans ahead for the new year... including a bit of an overhaul an facelift for this website (especially the online shop, which is WAAAAYYYYY overdue for an update!), new workshops, and much more. We hope you'll continue to follow along as we build this beautiful little brand, one creative idea at a time.

In the meantime, we wish you warmth and joy this holiday season as you snuggle up to the fire, gather around the tree, and pop the bubbly. Happy holidays!

So much to celebrate! Introducing our new storefront in Historic Reynolda Village!

Over the summer, we moved our creative studio to the most charming new digs: historic Reynolda Village in Winston-Salem, NC! Smack dab in the middle of a busy wedding season for our team, this move was a true labor of love. After months of renovation and prep work, all completed in between weddings and deadlines, we couldn't help but throw a party to celebrate our grand opening last month! Special thanks to Lauren Jolly for these beautiful photos!

Given that we are a stationery design company, we just couldn't even stomach the thought of throwing a party without a fabulous invitation. These beauties combined watercolor artwork (our designer, Kasey, is so talented, isn't she?!?) that was printed using a flat/digital print method. The text was then letterpressed onto the card and it was duplexed to another card with the watercolor pattern to create the back side. We just love how they turned out and look forward to more projects combining digital and letterpress printing in the future!

When the party day rolled around, we almost couldn't even believe our good luck... the weather was *perfect*. It was a lovely fall day and the conditions were ideal for our little shindig to spill out into the courtyard outside our front door. Just like we planned!

Lauren snapped a few fun images of the inside of our shop as well, including the floral workshop and retail area.

Because nobody's schedules all aligned, we weren't able to get a big group shot of the entire team, but I love this one of the three of us. For those of you who don't know me... that's me (Becca!) in the middle, and Betsy, my business partner and RRC co-owner is pictured to the left. Our new studio manager, Brittany, is pictured on the right!

So much more to share with you soon. In the meantime, come pay us a visit! Our retail hours begin this week and you can shop our stationery and gifts Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

XOXO

Becca & the gang

P.S. Huge shoutout and virtual hugs to our friends and partners-in-crime who helped us with our party! Holly Tate Fine Catering, John Tate & crew from The Honey Pot (amazing bar service, y'all!) Allegro Music, Hauser Rental, Nuage Designs, and Lauren Jolly Photography.

It was such a true joy to provide creative direction for the Nancy Ray Photography team's recent promo film. Here's a quick peek at the three styled looks I created for them. Special thanks to our partners at BHLDN for providing gowns and jewelry, and the team at Makeup for Your Day for hair and makeup on the models.

Floral Design for The School of Styling's Blog Launch

Floral Design, WorkshopsBecca AtchisonComment

I'm excited to share a glimpse at a little bit of floral design for a very special photo shoot that took place in December. It was a joy to gather with a few fellow creatives at the historic Pullen House in Raleigh. Special thanks to photographer, Jordan Maunder, for sharing these lovely images!

This shoot was created and styled by The School of Styling's founder, Kaitlin Holland. It was an honor to do the flowers for her and be a part of her January launch of the TSOS blog! If you're not following the blog already, head over and give it a look. There is no shortage of inspiring content!
